Getting closer

I have posted some photos of the renovations. What a difference a little paint can make. The artists all drop off their art this weekend, now me and my lovely volunteer Loren are in the process of putting it all together to make it look pretty! Also over the weekend Krista completed her cherry blossom mural, and Nancy has been hard at work on her window display. This not you average art gallery.

Please join us on Tuesday, November 9 at noon for our Downtown Holiday kick off event at SW Park Avenue and Yamhill Streets. Mayor Sam Adams and special holiday celebrity guests will unwrap the holiday season and unveil our downtown holiday promotions, holiday lighting, new retailers, pop-up shops, and the storefront art project.

We will be officially opening the doors Thursday Nov 11th and having our Grand Opening on Sat Nov 13th

Thanks to Anna, Kim, Jen, Andy, and Alex we are almost ready to open the doors to the Downtown Artistry. The artists are dropping off there art this weekend. I got a lovely new volunteer Loren. A press confrence with the Mayor on Tuesday at noon, if you can make it, we would love the support. See you soon.

Getting Started

We got the go ahead from the Portland Business Alliance to start planning on our Pop Up Gallery, Downtown Artistry So now I need to figure out how to put together a gallery in less then one month. I thought that I could use this blog to document the process and keep you all posted on some of the fun events and gifts that we plan on having.
